The Wessex AR Series agricultral Rotary Mowers are the first choice for paddock topping and maintaining regulary mown grass areas,as the work rates are higher,and the maintenance cost lower than that of a flail machine.Available in 1.2 m,1.5 m, and 1.8 m working widths,and with a variety of engine sizes,the AR Series rotaries are robust and durable machines ideally suited to private estates,farms,and studs.

Standard machines are fitted with side mounted wheels,which allow ground contours to be followed accuratley without scalping,however,if a machine is required to mow close to borders and fences etc,the optional rear wheel configuration is available on the 1.2 m and 1.5 m models only.With wheels behind the machine,the weight on the ball hitch is greatky increased threrfore when using a rear wheeled machine behind an ATV,the optional front wheel is recommended.This fully castoring wheel is situated beneath the drawbar,and takes the weight of the machine off the bike.When operating a rear wheel nachine with adequate capacity at the drawbar,ie small tractors etc,the front wheel is unnecessary.

For heavier ie brambles,bracken,reeds,heather and long grass etc,a flail mower is recommended as a flail will not only cut the material,but it will also thoroughly pulverize it before dicharging it evenly across the full width of the machine.

The Wessex AX120 self-powered paddock cleaner is the ideal machine for studs,stables and equestrian centres.Designed primarily for collecting horse droppings from paddocks,the AX120 has a 1.2 working width and features a similar rotor and brush configuration as the AC120,but with heavier duty bristles.A row of adjustable steel spring tines on the front of the machine rake out stubborn manure to assist the main brush with collection.
